Lupine flowers provide that spiky form in the spring garden that helps to punctuate with color. They are the classic mix of purples and best of all will help to support their neighboring plants because they are nitrogen fixers. Lupines prefer full sun but can grow in part shade, with a few less flowers. They like well-drained soils that are on the acidic side so are perfect for our Cape Cod soils.
