Creating Healthy Soils  May 9,  10 am -1pm

$0.00

The health of your plants starts with the soil. But boosting your garden's resilience and productivity doesn't have to mean buying bags of fertilizer.

We'll show you how in our May 9th workshop, where we are collaborating with the Northeast Organic Farmers Association (NOFA). We'll go beyond composting to teach you ways to increase biological activity and mineral availability in your soil using readily available materials that cost little or nothing. Healthy soils translate into plants that will also benefit from increased pest and disease resistance, higher yields, and greater nutrient density.

We will also look at the microbial life under the microscope of a variety of soils, so you can see first-hand what a healthy, robust garden soil should look like, and we will show you techniques to make that happen in your own garden.

Registration for this class is being organized by NOFA, so the button will take you to their website for sign-up.
