Growing Berries - May 16, 2026

$32.00

1-3 pm

Berries are one of the fastest and easiest ways to get a big return on the time and money you put into your backyard. Join us to learn how to successfully grow blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries in our Cape soil.

We’ll dig into what each of these berries needs to thrive, including plant selection and where to source them, soil prep, ongoing fertility, pruning and maintenance, common pests and diseases, and tips for harvesting and storing your berries so nothing goes to waste.

Whether you’re just getting started or looking to improve what you’re already growing, this workshop will give you practical, down-to-earth guidance you can use right away.

We have a sliding-scale fee system. The cost for us to bring you the workshop is $32. If you feel you can help out another person to come, you can choose to pay $42. If you can't afford the full cost, you are welcome to pay $22.

If the workshop fee is out of reach, please email us at sprout@resroots.org. Access matters to us, and we’ll do our best to work something out.
