In this free talk at Eldredge Public Library, learn how fall may be the best time to rejuvenate your soils and help ensure flourishing spring plantings. Resilient Roots Associate Director Beth Hardy Wade will discuss sheet-mulching techniques that you can use to replace parts of your lawn (without digging it up!) and get your soil ready for those spring pollinator plants. You’ll learn about compost and other organic amendments. The talk also covers inexpensive composting techniques, including how to use worms for a doubly rich composting process. No registration is necessary. The library is located at 564 Main Street, Chatham.
