Part-time Admin/Social Media Assistant
for Regenerative Gardening Organization
Resilient Roots is looking for someone to join us that is committed and passionate about
our mission and vision and being a part of our small but growing organization.
We are a unique, non-profit organization whose mission is to encourage engagement in gardening/landscaping in an eco-friendly way that uses nature as a model and therefore enhances water quality and wildlife habitat while providing a harvest and being aesthetically appealing. To fulfill our mission, we offer a variety of educational opportunities through workshops and classes, consultations and designs, and work with low-moderate income organizations to provide food and gardening education.
Currently, we have one full-time Executive Director (ED) and are looking for someone that can take responsibility for social media, managing the website, help with event coordination, perform some database management, and a variety of other tasks.
Candidates would have a strong interest in learning more about gardening, permaculture, and regenerative agriculture.
Qualifications - The applicant should have the following skills, education and experience:

Bachelor's degree (preferred)

Outstanding organizational skills

Understanding of non-profit organizations

Commitment to the organization’s mission

Proficiency in computer skills

Strong interpersonal skills

Familiar with Wix, Mail Chimp, Little Green Light, Social media platforms, and Google Suite

The ability to work collaboratively and build relationships

Good listener

Someone with initiative and follow-through

Team player working towards a common goal.
Responsibilities

Create and schedule regular postings on FB and Instagram
-
Work w/ ED to develop and execute a branding and marketing plan for RR
-
Assist in managing events - advertising, sign-up, help with planning, set-up and day-of coordination and follow-up.

Maintain and expand the website

Perform database management to facilitate marketing and development activities

Guide volunteers in some basic activities

Assist ED with:
Event coordination
Development related tasks
Newsletters, annual reports

Communicate effectively and proactively to the public about our mission

Have a willingness to get hands dirty and do bit of everything.
Hours:
This is a part-time position (8 and 16 hours) - the number of hours may vary based on the season.
Other:

Candidate will work closely with the ED to learn about the organization and how to manage their responsibilities.

This is an in-person position – not remote.

The candidate should be willing to work some weekend half days, primarily in the spring and fall.

Should share interest and passion for RR mission and vision.
