Christine McDowell serves the board as our Treasurer. She is an educator, a social justice advocate, an environmentally conscious citizen, a yogi, and a mother.  She spent her summers growing up in Dennisport, and has been year-round on the Cape since 2011 when she began teaching at Sturgis Charter Public School in Hyannis. Previously, traveling, volunteering, and schooling brought her (and her husband, John Tecklenburg) to live in Philadelphia, New York City, South Korea, and China. They now live in Harwich, MA. Christine has found that being outside is the best medicine for her children (and probably all children!) and wants to create spaces in their yard that inspire her children to play, entertain themselves, and forage for their own food.

Nan Ingraham is serving as our Vice President.  She is a marketing promotions manager at Hyannis Country Gardens where she has worked for over twenty years. She is a certified NOFA (Northeast Organic Farmers Assoc.)  land management specialist and recently became a Master Gardener.

Nan has been active as an advocate for organic lawns and continues to stay current on alternative methods that emphasismanagement/cultural practices to keep lawns healthy.  She also consults with clients providing landscape plant recommendations. Nan lives in West Barnstable with her husband and son.
