Resilient Roots Partners with Homeless Not Hopeless
In June 2020 Resilient Roots partnered with Homeless Not Hopeless in Hyannis, MA and constructed an herb and vegetable garden and raspberry patch at one of their homes. We have continued our work in 2021 and have added another residence. We are excited to continue this partnership as we fundraise to build gardens at the two other homes run by Homeless Not Hopeless.
Homeless Not Hopeless is a local organization that advocates for the needs of people transitioning out of homelessness, supporting and educating them to lead "independent, productive lives." The organization runs four different houses that all have space for healthy productive gardens where residents can grow their own vegetables, fruits and berries. We hope to continue our work and bring fruits and knowledge to all the residents.
If you are interested in supporting this work with Homeless Not Hopeless, feel free to reach out. We are looking to funds to support buying plants and designing the garden spaces!
